Ford lunches its new car Freestyle, will compete Hyundai i20 in Market

Ford has of late lunched its new cross over hatchback FreeStyle in India. The car starts at an Ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 5.09 lacs and is made available in both petrol and diesel variants. Of course the company had revealed about this car long ago, but official announcement is yet to be made. Diesel variant of this car starts at Rs. 6.09 lac, ex-showroom, New Delhi. This car will directly compete to Maruti Suzuki Ignis in the Indian market. Apart, it will also be a stern competitor to the Hyundai i20 Active and Toyota Etios Cross.

Petrol variant of the Ford FreeStyle comes equipped with a 1.2 ltr. dragon engine supported by three cylinders which can produce up to 95bhp power and can churn out 120NM turk. At the same time, the diesel engine comes with a 1.5 ltr engine which produces 99bhp power and churns out 215nm turk. According to the company, petrol variant of the Ford FreeStyle will provide 19 kmpl whereas the diesel variant will provide 24.4 kmpl mileage. The 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system in the car comes pre-built with both Android Auto and Apple car play features. The users would get 6 airbags, ABS, and the traction control feature in the car.

The new car from Ford, FreeStyle is a mixed venture of the Ford Figo and Ecosports. The car will pack 15 inch alloy wheels which can be used for off roading. Front look of the Ford FreeStyle is a mixture of the Ford Figo and Ford Aspire and it has not been launched in the compact SUV segment since Ecosports is already available there. So this car will be counted in the premium hatchback segment.

Whatever, but it will be interesting to see how much success this car is getting in the Indian market.
