HTC at the event in Taiwan wrapped up with two new Android 7.0 Nougat running smartphone named HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play (upgradable). Both the device details are available in the article. The announcement was made for both the device that offers different level of performance. Both the device offer different level of performance and both gonna be faceoff in the market.
Apart from same OS, both the device believes to have new glass design which is called liquid surface. The Glass finish is much shinier than Apple’s latest device, i just wanted to have a second decision on taking HTC then glossy iPhone 7. Well, lets see both the devices specification first and then decide which one to grab.
HTC U Ultra
This high end smartphone HTC U Ultra has 5.7 inches display with QHD screen and protected with Gorilla glass 5 like LG V20. The display also features 2 inch secondary display that makes a quick access to contact. For few this shortcut is little awkward because this little feature can eat bit of your battery life. The powerful Snapdragon’s 821 processor in built with 4GB of RAM. It is available in external memory of 64GB and 128GB. And 128 GB comes with Saphire Glass in place of Gorilla Glass 5.
The 12 MP camera lenses found in HTC U Ultra with few tweaks like Laser and Phase detect autofocus. The device holds 3000 mAh battery which can be much better to hold the above features to some extinct. As we know other smartphones like Google Pixel XL, OnePlus 3T and Galaxy S7 Edge offers above 3400 mAh battery power with 5.5 inches display, than in what means HTC has shoot the arrow.
HTC manage to start the pre-order for the device at $749 in US. In addition the company offers three excellent colors like Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Sapphire Blue. There is another Cosmetic Pink color body to available later. The shipping gonna start in mid of March.
HTC U Play
As compared to above model, HTC U Play has 5.2 inch display and screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor is much built in with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM. The user can purchase the 32 GB storage smartphone or the 64 GB. Both the models comes with a price difference.The device is equipped with AI assistant that offers microphone that is always active to help you to unlock phone with voice commands.
Holding the 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization that is present in U Ultra and offers Laser Focus and Phase Detect Auto Focus. Well, there is no 3.5 mm audio jack rather HTC personalized the sound experience with USonic technology that allows user to listen music through built-in microphone in earbuds like airpods.
The 2500 mAh battery provides power and device comes with Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, Ice White, and Sapphire Blue colors. For now the price tag for HTC U Play is not available but most luckily going to available in US.
