MTNL Mumbai Initiates EBill Service, Get Your Bill via Email & SMS

MTNL Mumbai EBill Service

MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited), the metropolitan city based state-owned telecom operator, has just initiated EBill service. As you know EBill means Electronic Bill, the soft copy of a bill and MTNL replaces hard copy of your bill by EBill. Now under the service, the Landline and Broadband customers of Mumbai circle can get their bills directly on their Email as EBill or on their registered mobile number as SMS alert. MTNL Mumbai mentioned about its new service on its official website and Facebook Fan page. To avail the service the customers using MTNL Landline and broadband services need to register themselves via SMS or online registration. Further details are given below.

The service is totally free to use & registration, however, for SMS registration standard SMS charges may be levied. As mentioned before, MTNL Mumbai customers can registered themselves via two methods – either online or SMS. The easiest and trouble free way for registration is online, where customer needs to fill a few data such as Customer Name, 2 Email IDs (one is alternative), Mobile No and MTNL Landline No to get him/herself registered. Once registered the customer would receive his/her landline/broadband bills by email each and every month. As you can see above, a maximum of 2 Email IDs can be registered. In any case, if you want to change your email, you can easily do that. In order to register online for EBill and SMS alert click here.

On the other hand, for SMS registration, you might be charged. To register yourself just SMS as following:

EBill <Your Landline Number> <Your Email ID>

Now send the above SMS to 9869889988.

While checking out comments on Facebook, we came to know that Postpaid Mobile user can too register for EBill service. MTNL Mumbai itself mentioned so. For registration, the customers have to SMS EBill <Email ID> to 55503 from their registered postpaid MTNL Mobile number. And for online registration, an MTNL Postpaid mobile customer needs to e-mail his/her mobile number, account number and email ID to [email protected].

We are quite not sure about Postpaid Mobile EBill services, so we advise you to contact MTNL Mumbai customer care or visit your nearest MTNL Service Center for further details.

MTNL has been consistently reliable and that’s why it is the number one Broadband and Landline Service Provider in the Mumbai circle. So what do you think about Ebill?
