Now you can recharge balance on your Mobile with Amazon Pay

Hello readers! In my previous article I had told you how Amazon is using its online payment Service Amazon Pay to give additional 15 percent discount to its customers on purchase of any product during the Great Indian Sale, which started today. Purpose behind this discount is to promote the Amazon Pay service and lure more customers to it. Now to make this service more popular, Amazon has added a brand new service to it. Sources convey that the Amazon Pay users can now recharge their Mobile devices using its balance, just like the other popular online services like Paytm and MobiKwik.

Confirming the news, an Amazon Spokeperson told Gadget 360, “We continuously innovate on behalf of our customers. Our focus is on creating better shopping and  payment experiences for them. Our new offering is towards this end. The offering is currently in beta.” This new wallet service of Amazon Pay is known as “bucket”.  This service is available both in the web and Amazon Mobile app. It supports all cards and Net Banking options for payment. However, Airtel users will not be able to recharge their devices using the Amazon Pay Service as it’s not supported now.

Amazon Pay, which was introduced in the Indian market quite a long time ago in still in Beta version and is not that much promoted. But now the company is trying to make it equally popular to that of Paytm and MobiKwik, which tested the taste of success during the demonetization period. Now Amazon is also trying make the customers get attracted to the Amazon Prime subscription by introducing it at Rs. 499 or even lower prices.

Amazon is the second International player to have introduced this Online Payment service next to Samsung. Samsung last year introduced its mobile Payment solution for the Indian users named Samsung Pay. The company has also tied with a number of banks and mobile wallet apps to support their Payment protocols.
