YouTube is constantly upgrading its features keeping eye on the users’ demand. The previous week only it lunched a feature at the Google I/O which intends to make the users aware of their Smartphone addiction. Just of late, the Mountainview giant introduced another feature called “Take a Break,” which is meant to give you a break from your hectic schedule of watching a video. This feature will make your video watching chore all the way feasible. This app is available for both Android and iOS users.

This “Take a Break” feature will help the users to fix an alert for them to take a break time every 15, 30, 60, 90 and 180 minutes. Users can use this option while watching any video on YouTube. What’s the feasibility of this feature, once you take a break of your desired duration, the video will resume automatically from where it was stopped. But to get this feature on your phone, you must update the YouTube app to its latest version.

Now let’s see how you can use the “Take a Break” feature on your Android and iOS Smartphones.

  • At first download the updated version of your YouTube app.
  • Then tap on your Profile Picture and go to Settings.
  • If you are an Android User, then you must tap the General option in drop down to get the option Remind me to take a break.
  • Now opt for your desired time break and update.

That’s it. Now YouTube will start reminding you to take a break in every 15, 30, 60, 90 or 180 minutes (the duration you choose). Once the notification shows, you can either opt to re-adjust the amount of time or can skip the notification and continue watching video.

Definitely let’s know in comments, what you think of this feature.
